Le site est presque d\u00e9sert, seuls quelques courageux ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 s\u2019extirper de leur tente pour\u2026 s\u2019avachir de plus belle sur les quelques transats, canap\u00e9s et fauteuils mis \u00e0 disposition. Il fait d\u00e9j\u00e0 chaud et la temp\u00e9rature va monter encore d\u2019un cran car voil\u00e0 les premiers zicos qui prennent place pour entamer cette journ\u00e9e\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>LACERTILIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me journ\u00e9e du festival d\u00e9bute sur la minuscule \u00ab\u00a0wake and bake stage\u00a0\u00bb, cach\u00e9e au fond du site au milieu de banquettes de r\u00e9cup et de si\u00e8ges en palettes. Une sc\u00e8ne tr\u00e8s intime (les plus pr\u00e8s peuvent poser leur bi\u00e8re sur la sc\u00e8ne) que les anglais de Lacertilia vont se charger d&rsquo;animer devant un parterre de courageux proche de la cinquantaine d&rsquo;\u00e2mes tout au plus (il n&rsquo;est alors que midi). Le groupe en profite pour r\u00f4der les nouveaux titres d&rsquo;un futur album dont la sortie est pr\u00e9vue dans quelques semaines. Le public clairsem\u00e9 mais r\u00e9ceptif saluera la prestation convaincante pour une heure si matinale (pour un festivalier, j&rsquo;entends&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/030-LACERTILIA-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13408\" src=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/030-LACERTILIA-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/030-LACERTILIA-3.jpg 667w, https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/030-LACERTILIA-3-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>PRETTY LIGHTNING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seconde et derni\u00e8re prestation de la journ\u00e9e sur cette minuscule sc\u00e8ne, le duo Pretty Lightning rappelle des formations comme King of the North ou encore Royal Blood, en moins puissant malgr\u00e9 tout. Seul petit b\u00e9mol, le chanteur-guitariste n&rsquo;est pas tr\u00e8s d\u00e9monstratif (c&rsquo;est peu de le dire&#8230;) et on sent qu&rsquo;il a pass\u00e9 une mauvaise nuit (il tirera une gueule de 6 pieds de long toute la journ\u00e9e au merch). Une belle d\u00e9couverte malgr\u00e9 tout.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/031-PRETTY-LIGHTNING-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13409\" src=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/031-PRETTY-LIGHTNING-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/031-PRETTY-LIGHTNING-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/031-PRETTY-LIGHTNING-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/031-PRETTY-LIGHTNING-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>DEAD LORD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Retour sur la sc\u00e8ne principale pour l&rsquo;un des groupes les plus attendus du jour (il suffit de voir le nombre de festivaliers qui ont daign\u00e9 quitter leur tente pour assister au concert : les su\u00e9dois de Dead Lord, forts de l&rsquo;excellent <em>In Ignorance We Trust<\/em> paru en 2017, d\u00e9butent leur set avec \u00ab\u00a0Don&rsquo;t give a damn\u00a0\u00bb, le single de l&rsquo;album <em>Heads Hield High<\/em>. Et pendant 40 minutes, on assiste \u00e0 une v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9monstration de heavy rock \u00e0 l&rsquo;ancienne avec panoplie compl\u00e8te : solis d\u00e9cha\u00een\u00e9s, poses photog\u00e9niques, look seventies&#8230; La filiation avec Thin Lizzy a \u00e9t\u00e9 maintes fois \u00e9voqu\u00e9e et cela saute aux yeux sur sc\u00e8ne. \u00c9norme succ\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;applaudim\u00e8tre, grand moment de communion avec le public et une valeur s\u00fbre pour les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n<p><a les am\u00e9ricains de Great Electric Quest font le show aussi bien dans les trav\u00e9es du fest qu&rsquo;au merch et on pouvait donc s&rsquo;attendre \u00e0 une prestation aussi d\u00e9jant\u00e9e qu&rsquo;eux. Le r\u00e9sultat va s&rsquo;av\u00e9rer mitig\u00e9. Certes, ils savent investir une sc\u00e8ne \u00ab \u00e0 l&rsquo;am\u00e9ricaine \u00bb (d\u00e9corum, gros son, fringues&#8230; tout y est) mais on ne peut s&#8217;emp\u00eacher de penser que claquer un solo de batterie de pr\u00e8s de 5 minutes au beau milieu du deuxi\u00e8me titre (!!!) quand on ne joue que 40 petites minutes fait retomber la mayonnaise qui montait pourtant bien. Et sur sc\u00e8ne, malgr\u00e9 tous les efforts de la charismatique Heidi Solheim, nous restons \u00e9galement sto\u00efques. A notre grand regret car Raketkanon restera pour nous une \u00e9nigme. C&rsquo;est de notori\u00e9t\u00e9 publique que les allemands sont friands d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation sonore mais l\u00e0, on atteint un sommet pour un festival rock : des synth\u00e9s d&rsquo;un autre \u00e2ge, des bidouillages sonores insupportables et un chant hurl\u00e9 au travers d&rsquo;un vocoder (WTF?!?!?!) nous font fuir d\u00e8s le deuxi\u00e8me titre. Et quand les invit\u00e9s se nomment Tuber, l\u2019une des valeurs s\u00fbres du rock psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique instrumental, c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;assurance d&rsquo;un grand moment. Le son est surpuissant et la fosse, surchauff\u00e9e par un soleil de plomb qui a tap\u00e9 fort toute l&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi, se laisse aller au moment o\u00f9 le groupe entame son fameux \u00ab\u00a0Desert Overcrowded\u00a0\u00bb&#8230; Seul petit reproche \u00e0 faire, mais ce n&rsquo;est pas de la faute du groupe : on aurait pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 un horaire plus tardif qui aurait Et ils vont retourner l&rsquo;assistance avec leur d\u00e9sormais mythique \u00ab\u00a0Orion\u00a0\u00bb qui va mettre tout le monde d&rsquo;accord. Il est vrai que la bande de Mike Scheidt tra\u00eene derri\u00e8re elle une sacr\u00e9e r\u00e9putation de retourneur de fosse avec leur sludge surpuissant. D\u00e8s le soundcheck, on se dit qu&rsquo;on va en prendre plein la tronche et ce sera effectivement le cas.
