En fait, on est content, en voyant arriver ce nouvel album, de constater qu&rsquo;il reste une place pour cette musique, qu&rsquo;ils arrivent \u00e0 survivre. On aime The Brought Low quand on aime Lynyrd Skynyrd, les Who, les Allman Bros, le gros rock 70&rsquo;s. Etonnant d&rsquo;ailleurs, pour un groupe de New York, de voir un \u00ab\u00a0recentrage\u00a0\u00bb vers le rock sudiste, avec ce nouvel album : accompagnements au piano, refrains au chant doubl\u00e9, ch\u0153urs f\u00e9minins. Le meilleur de Skynyrd en quelque sorte. Du tout bon, quoi. Quelques titres tirent plus du c\u00f4t\u00e9 hard rock sautillant du d\u00e9but des 70&rsquo;s n\u00e9anmoins (\u00ab\u00a0This ain&rsquo;t no game\u00a0\u00bb, imparable, \u00ab\u00a0Vernon Jackson\u00a0\u00bb et son riff doubl\u00e9 par une basse ronde et v\u00e9loce).Maintenant, je ne recommanderai pas cet album \u00e0 un fan \u00ab\u00a0int\u00e8gre\u00a0\u00bb de stoner pur jus. Il fera par contre la joie des fans de musique blues-rock-boogie, de celles qui vous font taper du pied et pousser des r\u00e9flexions du genre \u00ab\u00a0putain, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait quand m\u00eame quelque chose, la musique de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque\u00a0\u00bb, alors que vous n&rsquo;\u00e9tiez m\u00eame pas n\u00e9s dans ces ann\u00e9es-l\u00e0&#8230; Vous voyez le genre.
