De mani\u00e8re assez \u00e9tonnante, Sexty Sexers provient du Pays Basque (du c\u00f4t\u00e9 espagnol quand m\u00eame). Etonnant, car \u00e7a fait bien longtemps que cette r\u00e9gion forte en caract\u00e8re n’avait accouch\u00e9 d’un groupe de rock marquant ! J’ignore si Sexty Sexers sera ce groupe, mais une chose est s\u00fbre, il en a la trempe.<\/p>\n

M\u00eame si le groupe n’\u00e9volue pas dans un stoner tr\u00e8s traditionnel, ses influences piochent dans les 3 d\u00e9cennies pass\u00e9es (si si !) pour en extraire le meilleur du rock’n’roll, la substantifique moelle. Le r\u00e9sultat explose d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res notes : \u00e7a d\u00e9bo\u00eete. En effet, musicalement, on se situe biend ans un gros hard rock 90s (le furieux \u00ab\u00a0Rotten my Casiopea\u00a0\u00bb) teint\u00e9 de relents 70s (ce riff de guitare sur \u00ab\u00a0Tetsuo Edo Melquiades\u00a0\u00bb, et ses backing vocals vol\u00e9s aux Stones), de soli et de jams implacables (la fin \u00e9pique et a\u00e9rienne de \u00ab\u00a0So we died\u00a0\u00bb), qui s’encha\u00eenent sans jamais lasser. Le plus surprenant je crois : la production. Difficile de s’imaginer le quintette enregistrer sa rondelle dans une grotte quelconque paum\u00e9e en plein coeur de l’Euskadi, quand on entend ce son \u00e9norme, cette prod de groupe multimillionaire. Une p\u00eache \u00e9norme, et un mod\u00e8le du genre.A noter : la plupart des titres sont chant\u00e9s en basque, le reste en anglais, ce qui ajoute une teinte franchement originale \u00e0 l’ensemble.<\/p>\n

Bref, une grosse mornifle que cet album, qui ravira tout de m\u00eame plus l’amateur de hard rock non sectaire que le pur afficionado de stoner atmosph\u00e9rique traditionnel. Dans tous les cas un album de qualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
