A ce titre, \u00ab Wilderness Heart \u00bb surprend forc\u00e9ment un peu moins, m\u00eame si, dans le paysage musical actuel, Black Mountain garde une position tr\u00e8s atypique, compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9cal\u00e9e, hors du temps et des modes. Le genre musical du groupe reste difficile \u00e0 cerner au regard de l&rsquo;offre musicale actuelle, piochant autant dans le hard rock 70&rsquo;s sauce psyche que dans le rock progressif (et notamment canadien) ou la folk traditionnelle nord-am\u00e9ricaine. Un m\u00e9lange tout \u00e0 fait surprenant de prime abord, mais finalement tout \u00e0 fait naturel pour le quintette, qui a aussi pour particularit\u00e9 d&rsquo;avoir un chanteur et une chanteuse (malheureusement plut\u00f4t cantonn\u00e9e aux backing vocals, ses interventions apportent une tonalit\u00e9 vraiment sp\u00e9ciale).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On retrouvera ici ou l\u00e0 sur l&rsquo;album des titres qui nous rappelleront le Black Mountain que nous avons tant ador\u00e9 : le sournois \u00ab Old Fangs \u00bb (ses nappes d&rsquo;orgue, son ambiance heavy), le speed\u00e9 \u00ab Let spirits ride \u00bb (m\u00eame si ce titre se r\u00e9v\u00e8le un peu \u00ab clich\u00e9 \u00bb \u00e0 la longue, il garde une efficacit\u00e9 certaine), le heavy \u00ab Wilderness Heart \u00bb. En revanche, on pourra reprocher \u00e0 ce disque des morceaux plus faibles (notamment quelques titres lents \/ acoustiques un peu insipides \u00e0 la longue), voire conventionnels, dans tous les cas un standard auquel le groupe ne nous avait pas habitu\u00e9. On attendait probablement trop de ce disque qui n&rsquo;est que bon, alors que l&rsquo;on n&rsquo;attendait rien de moins qu&rsquo;exceptionnel.
