Le r\u00e9sultat est graisseux comme un skeud de HTG, avec les relents boogiesants sudisto-rawkesques propres \u00e0 leurs potes de Five Horse Johnson ou encore&#8230; Raging Slab !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sous ce vernis glaireux comme on l&rsquo;aime, on aurait en revanche appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 un peu plus de \u00ab\u00a0tension\u00a0\u00bb, de coh\u00e9sion de l&rsquo;ensemble. On a le sentiment que les zicos sont l\u00e0 pour se faire plaisir, certes (et c&rsquo;est communicatif), et ils explorent, ils explorent&#8230; peut-\u00eatre un peu trop ! Ca d\u00e9marre en trombe avec un rugissant \u00ab\u00a0One Eyed Jack\u00a0\u00bb, puis avec \u00ab\u00a0Leeds County Devil\u00a0\u00bb, totalement boogiesant, m\u00e9langes de Solarized et de Halfway To Gone. On passe par le tr\u00e8s Slab-ien \u00ab\u00a0Nothing&rsquo;s left for free\u00a0\u00bb, jusqu&rsquo;au morceau-titre de l&rsquo;album, excellemment heavy, somptueusement dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;interventions d&rsquo;harmonica br\u00fblantes. Puis, subrepticement, le virage est pris pour une progression sludgesque, voire doomesque par moments sur les derniers titres. Le sommet du pachydermique est atteint avec le lancinant \u00ab\u00a0Hold your nose\u00a0\u00bb, qui, m\u00eame s&rsquo;il est parfois d\u00e9chir\u00e9 de leads chaleureux, \u00e9volue pataudement dans les basses fr\u00e9quences. On pense alors \u00e0 un m\u00e9lange sournois de Bongzilla et de Down, un mix qui appara\u00eet heureux, mais qui s&rsquo;av\u00e8re un peu trop d\u00e9stabilisant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A Thousand Knives Of Fire (ouf !) appara\u00eet donc avec cette premi\u00e8re galette comme un groupe int\u00e9ressant, original, une sorte de groupe nordiste jouant de la musique sudiste un peu dans tous les sens.
