A moins que l&rsquo;on ne consid\u00e8re cet album comme \u00e9tant le deuxi\u00e8me du groupe Brant Bjork And The Operators. Peu importe en fait puisque ici il s&rsquo;agit des deux ! En effet, Mr Cool et sa bande ont choisi de nous offrir non pas une mais deux galettes. La moiti\u00e9 des titres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s par Brant seul comme \u00e0 son habitude et l&rsquo;autre moiti\u00e9 par tout le groupe. La premi\u00e8re chose \u00e0 dire c&rsquo;est que l&rsquo;homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ensemble est \u00e9tonnante et qu&rsquo;il est m\u00eame difficile de v\u00e9ritablement distinguer les titres enregistr\u00e9s seul par Brant des autres enregistr\u00e9s avec Dylan Roche (basse), Cortez (guitare) et Micha\u00ebl Peffer (batterie). Le r\u00e9sultat de tout cela est que l&rsquo;on se retrouve avec l&rsquo;album le plus abouti depuis Jalamanta, c&rsquo;est peu dire. Le sang neuf apport\u00e9 par les Bros est flagrant et m\u00eame si c&rsquo;est Brant qui continue \u00e0 \u00e9crire les chansons, on sent bien que ces \u00ab fr\u00e8res \u00bb ont du lui sugg\u00e9rer quelques petites id\u00e9es. Je pense en particulier au jeu de basse bien plus riche que sur les albums pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents m\u00eame si j&rsquo;avais not\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9normes progr\u00e8s de Brant \u00e0 ce niveau sur Local Angel. Mais l&rsquo;apport de Dylan est ind\u00e9niable et son jeu de basse exceptionnel apporte un petit plus incontestable. Les 19 titres de Saved By Magic balayent de mani\u00e8re impeccable tous les courants musicaux chers \u00e0 nos amis. On retrouve des influences multiples mais la plus flagrante reste le rock des ann\u00e9es 60 ; la reprise de Sunshine Of Your Love de Cream est l\u00e0 pour le confirmer. On a aussi le droit \u00e0 quelques titres \u00ab jammesques \u00bb du plus bel effet et qui trouveront assur\u00e9ment une place de choix lors des concerts du combo. D&rsquo;ailleurs, l&rsquo;ambiance que cr\u00e9e ce double album est tout \u00e0 l&rsquo;image des concerts du groupes, une alternance de titres courts et efficaces (Get Into It, Lil&rsquo; Bro) et de titres calmes et planants (Dylan&rsquo;s Fantasy, Paradise On Earth). Brant Bjork a indubitablement pris la bonne d\u00e9cision en choisissant de s&rsquo;associer pleinement avec les Bros pour ce double album et le r\u00e9sultat est d&rsquo;une qualit\u00e9 telle qu&rsquo;il saura \u00e0 coup s\u00fbr renouveler l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience pour un prochain opus que l&rsquo;on attend d\u00e9j\u00e0 avec impatience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Le cinqui\u00e8me effort de Brant Bjork est enfin l\u00e0.
