La seconde, qui tirait un peu vers un heavy-rock stonerien, a accouch\u00e9 du superbe \u00ab\u00a0Ad AStra\u00a0\u00bb. Et la p\u00e9riode actuelle, penchant copieusement dans un gros hard rock metal qui t\u00e2che, qui a vu le bassiste\/chanteur Spice remplac\u00e9 par Janne de Grand Magus au chant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Notre Spice bien aim\u00e9, une fois lourd\u00e9 en beaut\u00e9, aura trouv\u00e9 un foyer temporaire dans son projet \u00ab\u00a0Mushroom River Band\u00a0\u00bb, et depuis, plus de nouvelles&#8230; Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce myst\u00e9rieux groupe (au patronyme original \u00ab\u00a0Spice and the RJ Band\u00a0\u00bb), qu&rsquo;il monte avec un ancien pote bassiste et le batteur de \u00ab\u00a0Mushroom\u00a0\u00bb, et qui d\u00e9boule sur nos platines un peu par hasard, pour notre ravissement auditif. On va pas vous la faire : on est ici en pleine p\u00e9riode \u00ab\u00a0Spiritual Beggars p\u00e9riode Ad Astra\u00a0\u00bb. Certes, le g\u00e9nie riff-esque de Mike Amott manque un peu ici ou l\u00e0, mais au final, on aurait bien tort de bouder notre plaisir : la voix de Spice est d&rsquo;une profondeur, d&rsquo;une puissance, mais aussi d&rsquo;une chaleur remarquables. Reconnaissable entre mille, le chanteur d\u00e9ploie toutes les facettes de son organe sur chaque plage de ce CD. Un bonheur en soit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Pour le reste, les compos d\u00e9filent, \u00e7a taille bien, c&rsquo;est bien produit et arrang\u00e9 (vraiment, une belle palette de sonorit\u00e9s qui font super bien sonner ces morceaux), on ne se lasse pas : passant du pur heavy 70&rsquo;s aux power ballads teint\u00e9es de gratte acoustique, on \u00e9coute ce skeud en boucle avec un vrai plaisir. Si vous aimez Spiritual Beggars (ou si vous aimiez jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 il y a 5 ans environ !), vous devriez adorer ce disque.
