Le grand public aura manifestement craint de d\u00e9florer ses conduits auditifs, tant il appara\u00eet \u00e9vident \u00e0 la lecture de l&rsquo;affiche de ce soir que ces derniers seront fortement sollicit\u00e9s\u2026<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/201309-sg1.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Premi\u00e8re illustration avec les hollandais de\u00a0<b>Throw Me In The Crater<\/b>\u00a0qui montent sur les planches pile \u00e0 l&rsquo;heure devant les premi\u00e8res dizaines de rockers d\u00e9j\u00e0 arriv\u00e9s. Mon Dieu que c&rsquo;est sale ! Le groupe d\u00e9bite ses riffs lents et crades larv\u00e9s des beuglements d\u00e9chirants de son grand (par la taille au moins) vocaliste. Le jeu de sc\u00e8ne est minimaliste, les zicos \u00e9tant concentr\u00e9s sur leur taf, et le chanteur headbanguant penaudement dans son coin lorsqu&rsquo;il ne part pas dans des vomissages de tripes les yeux ferm\u00e9s. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, le sludge est devenu un genre largement pratiqu\u00e9 \/ us\u00e9 \/ abus\u00e9 par tous types de groupes, m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents types de sons\u2026 Ca aboutit \u00e0 des trucs-bidules-core sludgy selon les groupes. Malheureusement, difficile dans ce maelstrom de groupes et de sous-genres de tirer son \u00e9pingle du jeu, car faire original devient difficile. Throw Me In The Crater se heurte un peu \u00e0 cet \u00e9cueil, qu&rsquo;il tente n\u00e9anmoins de contourner par l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de ses riffs qui parviennent \u00e0 faire hocher pas mal de t\u00eates dans un public int\u00e9ress\u00e9 mais pas compl\u00e8tement conquis. Bonne d\u00e9monstration n\u00e9anmoins.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desert-rock.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/201309-sg2.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Les parisiens de\u00a0<b>Revok<\/b>\u00a0prennent la suite sur la sc\u00e8ne encore chaude, et finalement la transition se fait sans peine : m\u00eame si la veine musicale est plus rock, le groupe s&rsquo;adresse \u00e0 un public pas si \u00e9loign\u00e9 que ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs ce soir. Le combo \u00e9volue dans un genre plus connot\u00e9 hardcore avec influences Neurosis et Dillinger Escape Plan, avec des riffs cinglants ponctu\u00e9s de breaks ac\u00e9r\u00e9s et de plages sonores a\u00e9riennes. Une musique encore une fois pas r\u00e9volutionnaire, mais bien ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e, et dont l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 n&rsquo;est plus \u00e0 prouver. On se laisse pas mal emporter par les passages atmosph\u00e9riques lancinants, pour mieux se faire faucher en plein air par les hurlements du chanteur, frontman incontest\u00e9 d&rsquo;un quintette entame son set dans un ronflement de basse, alors qu&rsquo;on le croyait encore en plein soundcheck. Les lumi\u00e8res se tamisent (beaucoup !) pour laisser place \u00e0 un spot verd\u00e2tre fixe, et le vid\u00e9o projecteur commence \u00e0 diffuser pendant plus d&rsquo;une heure de set des feuilles de cannabis en mouvement perp\u00e9tuel. L&rsquo;ambiance est dress\u00e9e et le ton est donn\u00e9 : la soir\u00e9e sera psych\u00e9 ou ne sera pas. Le premier riff \u00e9merge rapidement du maelstrom sonore et d\u00e9bloque les premi\u00e8res nuques dans le public, qui ne s&rsquo;arr\u00eateront plus jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin du set. Le doom psyche des hollandais s&rsquo;installe alors tr\u00e8s vite aupr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un public particuli\u00e8rement r\u00e9ceptif. Faut dire que Toner Low a roul\u00e9 sa bosse et son exp\u00e9rience sc\u00e9nique fait son effet : le groupe installe d&rsquo;abord visuellement une atmosph\u00e8re propice \u00e0 la concentration et \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;\u00e9vasion\u00a0\u00bb du public, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un light show statique et hypnotique, un jeu de sc\u00e8ne tout en neutralit\u00e9 (l&rsquo;introspection est de rigueur) et d\u00e9bite les riffs lancinants non stop pendant une grosse heure. La musique du groupe ne rentre n\u00e9anmoins pas dans le carcan de la monotonie, et n&rsquo;a pas la lenteur comme unique registre. Les envol\u00e9es sont donc nombreuses, les mont\u00e9es en tension r\u00e9guli\u00e8res et les rythmiques enlev\u00e9es ne manquent pas. Le public ne s&rsquo;y trompe d&rsquo;ailleurs pas, port\u00e9 par les salves rythmiques et happ\u00e9 par les lignes de basse ronflantes de la belle Miranda et ses immenses dreadlocks ondulant au rythme des basses fr\u00e9quences\u2026 Daan m\u00e8ne le d\u00e9bat \u00e0 coups de m\u00e9diators, s&rsquo;approchant occasionnellement du pied de micro pour \u00e9mettre quelques r\u00e2les lointains noy\u00e9s d&rsquo;effets, et secou\u00e9 ponctuellement de spasmes et autres fulgurances guitaristiques, maintenant sous tension un public ravi d&rsquo;\u00eatre ainsi immerg\u00e9 dans cette exp\u00e9rience commune. Au bout d&rsquo;une heure et quelques, le set touche \u00e0 sa fin (cinq ou six titres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 jou\u00e9s \u00e0 ce stade, de m\u00e9moire), et le groupe, un peu maladroitement, ne sait pas trop s&rsquo;il doit quitter la sc\u00e8ne ou pas pour un rappel finalement un peu t\u00e9l\u00e9phon\u00e9 mais n\u00e9anmoins attendu et appr\u00e9ci\u00e9. Mieux, pass\u00e9 ce titre, alors que les membres du groupe plient les gaules, Daan, appr\u00e9ciatif des sinc\u00e8res signes de reconnaissance du public, d\u00e9cide de proposer un \u00ab\u00a0vrai\u00a0\u00bb rappel, compl\u00e8tement impr\u00e9vu (prenant par surprise Miranda, qui, elle, avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 quitt\u00e9 la sc\u00e8ne).
