Des valeurs s\u00fbres… Troisi\u00e8me album chez Napalm Records pour nos quatre australiens, et le temps ne semble pas avoir de prise sur leur heavy rock fuzz\u00e9 aux hormones. Car les bonhommes ma\u00eetrisent d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 la perfection leur recette, o\u00f9 ils m\u00e9langent avec talent des \u00e9l\u00e9ments issus de AC\/DC (bon sang ne saurait mentir, ce sens du riff qui groove et de cette rythmique qui fait taper du pied n’est pas tomb\u00e9 du ciel…), Mot\u00f6rhead, Valient Thorr, Rocket From The Crypt, Nashville Pussy, etc… Un petit enrobage fuzzy sur tout \u00e7a, et quelques soup\u00e7ons de soli devraient finir de convaincre les plus r\u00e9calcitrants.<\/p>\n

On orientera ces derniers sur quelques morceaux de choix autour de l’os, par exemple \u00ab\u00a0Sleepwalker\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0Wild and Dead\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0Cold Liquor\u00a0\u00bb ou le fr\u00e9n\u00e9tique \u00ab\u00a0Kickin’ My Dog\u00a0\u00bb que l’on croirait compos\u00e9 par le meilleur des frangins Young, pour mieux d\u00e9guster le reste du plat ensuite… et en redemander ! Seule la tr\u00e8s gratuite reprise de Kylie Minogue qui vient en bonus appara\u00eet dispensable… Elle permet toutefois d’aller taquiner la jauge des 45 minutes, on ne va pas cracher dessus non plus.<\/p>\n

Comme le bon vin, un bon Mammoth Mammoth est un investissement s\u00fbr, une valeur refuge dont le (bon) go\u00fbt ne se d\u00e9ment pas avec les ann\u00e9es. Si jamais ils \u00e9taient un chouilla plus pr\u00e9tentieux et hautains, nos musicos de l\u00e0 bas down under pourraient probablement pr\u00e9tendre \u00e0 une belle position dans les top albums de l’ann\u00e9e en cours ; mais les gars pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent violer les tympans et casser les tibias – une d\u00e9marche qui les honore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
