Il doit se passer quelque dans ce pays \u00e0 la botte sacr\u00e9e. Ici, la gratte balance ses effluves directement sans concession et la section rythmique lui embo\u00eete le pas fissa. De bons grooves, beaucoup de pr\u00e9cision, un stoner faisant la part belle aux plans tr\u00e8s dynamiques fa\u00e7on Fort ou encore Solace.<\/p>\n<p>On a vite pig\u00e9 que, ici, la prod et le mix ont \u00e9t\u00e9 abord\u00e9s avec une attention toute particuli\u00e8re puisque cette petite galette de 5 plages peut ais\u00e9ment rivaliser avec d&rsquo;autres albums produits dans le genre. La batterie est tr\u00e8s bien soign\u00e9e et sa limpidit\u00e9 coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 sa profondeur rev\u00eat des allures de bulldozer sans piti\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Tout est bien en place: les s\u00e9quences sont altern\u00e9es avec pr\u00e9cision et l&rsquo;on s&rsquo;aventure parfois dans les eaux des 2 premiers albums de QOTSA lors des breaks. La guitare et les autres instruments se font d&rsquo;ailleurs plus l\u00e9gers et plus subtils pour l&rsquo;occasion, un peu comme des mauvais gar\u00e7ons aux t\u00eates bien peign\u00e9es marchant religieusement vers l&rsquo;\u00e9glise pour leur messe dominicale. Mais c&rsquo;est pour mieux induire l&rsquo;auditeur en erreur puisque le feu reprend de plus belle dans des riffs enlev\u00e9s et destructeurs. L&rsquo;autel devant lequel les musicos s&rsquo;agenouillent est bien celui du rock et non celui d&rsquo;un charlatan quelconque livr\u00e9 \u00e0 la b\u00eatise et la vindicte populaires.<\/p>\n<p>La voix est tr\u00e8s correcte et \u00e9volue dans un registre entre clart\u00e9 et rage. Ce quatuor doit encore trouver sa voie dans des lignes de chant plus personnelles afin d&rsquo;imposer sa marque de fabrique.
