\nSi l’\u00e9vocation de Earth et Khanate vous donne de l’urticaire passez votre chemin ! Ce second opus propos\u00e9 par Chet W. Scott va encore plus loin et plus brutalement dans son exp\u00e9rimentation musicale. Terriblement barr\u00e9e, cette plaque est un voyage introspectif concoct\u00e9 par un v\u00e9ritable agit\u00e9 du bocal qui s’est joint les services de Daniel Ellis Harrod pour nous d\u00e9clamer des textes au sujet d’un de nos pareils ayant perdu son esprit. Tout un programme qui s’\u00e9tale sur plus d’une heure.
\nMalsain en diable, l’univers musical ici abord\u00e9 est tortueux autant que tortur\u00e9. Les tempi sont encore plus lents que le pouls d’un fumeur de shit aux yeux mi-clos vautr\u00e9 sur son matelas ; ils sont ass\u00e9n\u00e9s avec force presque de mani\u00e8re martiale. Les guitares sont a\u00e9riennes lorsque le propos est apais\u00e9 puis overdriv\u00e9es lors des mont\u00e9es en puissance sonores qui ponctuent cette galette. Les textes pos\u00e9s sur une trame construite de sonorit\u00e9s et de riffs englu\u00e9s s’inscrivent tel un copier\/coller suppl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 ce maelstr\u00f6m presque jouissif quand ils ne sont pas vocif\u00e9r\u00e9s du fond d’une caverne.
\nDans un trend assez similaire \u00e0 son premier opus, Blood Of The Black Owl nous gratifie \u00e0 nouveau d’une production dans laquelle il faut se plonger sans retenue pour en appr\u00e9cier r\u00e9ellement les moindres d\u00e9tails. Soign\u00e9es \u00e0 l’extr\u00eame, les plages offrent quelques surprises comme l’\u00e9pique ‘He Who Walked Away From The Fire & Laughed As He Bled’ qui est une r\u00e9ussite du genre. Telle l’\u0153uvre d’un psychotique g\u00e9nial, ‘Unattanable Vistas Of Our Remembrances’ est une mont\u00e9e en d\u00e9mence absolument fabuleuse.
\nSi cette galette n’est pas le disque le plus abordable qui soit, certaines compositions comme ‘Crippling Of Age’ raviront les fans de Eyehategod car plus concise et rentre-dedans que les longues plages reptales qui l’accompagnent.
