Avec la disparition discr\u00e8te du groupe, ne nous reste plus \u00e0 nous mettre sous la dent que Dwellers, le nouveau combo de son leader, le chanteur-guitariste Joey Toscano. Il y a quelques mois sortait donc ce \u00ab Good morning Harakiri \u00bb, premier LP de ce trio compos\u00e9 de Toscano et de deux potes issus d\u2019un obscur combo de doom US. Evidemment, et c\u2019est rassurant en soi, on retrouve bien la voix subtilement ravag\u00e9e de Toscano tout au long de ce disque, m\u00eame si elle ne se tire pas la part du lion, les parties chant\u00e9es \u00e9tant minoritaires par rapport aux nombreux passages instrus, soli, jams, etc\u2026 Concernant le genre musical, on est toujours bien en contr\u00e9es stoner, avec des jams blues-psyche un peu plus d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es que Iota (voir les 10 minutes du lancinant \u00ab Vultures \u00bb et sa cl\u00f4ture sous forme de jam instrumentale a\u00e9rienne, ou encore de l\u2019\u00e9pique \u00ab Old honey \u00bb). Les autres titres sont virulents, r\u00eaches, col\u00e9riques, fi\u00e9vreux\u2026 Fait saillant, la production de l\u2019ensemble propose un traitement du son assez couillu : probablement pour mettre en avant la qualit\u00e9 intrins\u00e8que des compos, la mise en son est particuli\u00e8rement homog\u00e8ne d\u2019un titre \u00e0 l\u2019autre. Basse ronde et juste assez satur\u00e9e, gratte fuzz\u00e9e bien comme il faut sur les soli, chant un peu distant\u2026 Impeccable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Au final, ce disque manque peut-\u00eatre un peu de \u00ab coefficient catchy \u00bb pour sortir la t\u00eate de la m\u00eal\u00e9e : compar\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u2019autres sorties 2012 (dont certaines de leurs confr\u00e8res d\u2019\u00e9curie, Small Stone), le groupe manque d\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e9ment marquant, de caract\u00e9ristiques qui feront qu\u2019on l\u2019\u00e9coute en boucle inexorablement. Ne nous m\u00e9prenons pas, ce disque s\u2019\u00e9coute avec un plaisir non feint, ses compos sont efficaces et accrocheuses, mais au bout d\u2019une demi-douzaine d\u2019\u00e9coutes, on a le sentiment d\u2019en avoir fait le tour.
